WHY HANDMADE SHIFT KNOBS BEAT MASS PRODUCED ONES  

If you’re the kind of driver who still appreciates stuff built right the first time, you no doubt have already asked yourself why mass-produced shift knobs aren’t built right.  Maybe you’ve never asked yourself that question before.  But there it is, you just did.  It’s a really important question, not to be ignored.  It's possible to quickly grab a mass-produced knob off an auto parts store rack.  And just as quickly be disappointed.  Or, if you do care about feel, durability, looking cool – things built right.  Handmade is it. 

Mass produced knobs are pumped out fast, cheap and made to be “good enough”.  But not here.  Each SpeedShifter knob is handmade, specifically for you, your colors, your shape.  Each one is assembled, cut, finished and checked by this guy.  And I give a rip.  If it doesn’t look and feel right to me, it probably wont to you either. 

Foreign made, mass produced – that may be okay for assembly line cars, but it's not what custom car, muscle car, and hot rod people are after.  A special knob made by hand has character and personality.  You can get that – exactly the way you want it.  A particular color, a particular shape.  Your interior won't look like it was assembled on a conveyor belt. 

A lot of mass-produced knobs are lightweight and hollow.  Some are made to look like something they aren’t.  Handmade knobs are solid, using quality materials.  There’s a weight to them you can feel, and I’m certain that feel will make your gear changes smoother and more positive.  I’m also certain that if Dom Toretto had a SpeedShifter knob, he would find even more gears. 

Maybe a mass-produced shift knob can get the job done, maybe not.  But a handmade knob is built for drivers who actually care about their machines.  Better feel; better attitude.  Just like in the old days.  SpeedShifter knobs are custom made, specifically for you, one at a time.  When you buy handmade, you’re not feeding an anonymous foreign factory.  You’re supporting someone who still believes car parts should be built with care – keeping with that old-school mindset.
