Installation

Floor Shift

When mounting, it’s best if you don’t try to overtighten the set-nut against the knob. Tighten, just don’t crank on it. I recommend using Permatex Blue, or another medium set thread-lock on both the knob hardware and the set-nut.

Column Shift

I pre-drill these to the specified size, however if the pre-drilled hole is a bit small and the knob is too tight, DO NOT re-drill with a larger drill bit. Doing so could cause the knob to crack or chip. Use a Dremel tool to enlarge the hole gradually and use water as a lubricant while doing so. Standard epoxy works to attach the knob, however, avoid using 5-minute or quick set epoxies.

Brody Knobs

The intended design of these is for installation on old-school hard plastic steering wheels (like the kind found on cars/trucks from the 1930’s-70’s.) But these knobs can also be installed on thicker rubber or leather steering wheels too. Be mindful of your preferred placement though, as it may be possible that the hardware can leave a permanent mark on the rubber/leather of the steering wheel.

Are these easy to install?

Yes! They are fairly self-explanatory. With the instructions above it should be a quick installation with common garage tools.
